Our goal in recruitment is to find our future leaders and teach them to grow and lead USC's entrepreneurial spirit from within our organization. We do this by having multiple genuine conversations and interactions with our applicants. We want every interaction to feel like one student talking to another, so don't be worried about looking or sounding professional. You also DON’T need to have any previous experience with the entrepreneurial or startup space before applying — just be yourself and tell us about your passions + eagerness to grow with others!

Three different board members will read each written application without knowing the identity of the applicant. Our app scoring system determines whether you move on to 1:2 interviews.

We deliberate over applicants by name after each round of interviews. Deliberators may not discuss or advocate for/against applicants they know personally or have worked with previously. If you know someone in Spark, they can't advocate for you, so don't bother asking them for a referral or recommendation!
