Founded in 2015, Ambercycle is a small start-up company with 30 employees working to create a circular economy for polyester within the fashion industry. Ambercycle has developed a molecular recycling technology and creates new raw materials for the fashion industry without a sacrifice in quality, and from regenerative sources rather than new petroleum or agricultural ones. In January 2022, the company announced a Series A fundraising round, in which $21.6 million was raised.
